Most Important Rule!
- Rule number 1. PLEASE READ THE RULES! Every board has them and ignorance is not excuse for breaking the rules.
Character 'Forum' Registration
- You must register on the forums in the name of your character and then don't forget to activate you account through your email.
- I would prefer for each character to have his or her own account.
Character Enlistment Form Tips
- The first step to filling out a new form for a new character is to click on the 'new thread' link.
- Simply copy and paste the provided code and fill it in!
Character Biographies and Balance
- When submitting your Biographies please post a new thread with the name of your character as the thread title.
- A Bio must be submitted before posting at the Portcullis.
- The Bio must follow the guide lines and be of quality. Try to make your character as interesting as possible. Be passionate about your characters!
- Please keep your characters balanced. I am allowing for your character to be rich if they come from a rich family but don't go overboard with it. Also stay balanced with their abilities. A character cannot be invincible. They must have some weaknesses.
Character Name
- Be creative or as simple as you want here but please do not make the name anything stupid! For example... 'Tree' or something stupid like that. A name can say so much about your character.
Character Age
- Human years is just fine to use to go by age here.
- If your preference is to go by seasons then 2 Seasons = 1 Human Year, so that everyone is on the same page.
First Post
- Before posting any place else with your character you must first post at the Portcullis in order to gain access. You only need to post a paragraph, introducing your character. You can do more then one paragraph if your muse inspires you to do so.
- You need not wait for someone to give you permission to enter if you use the NPC gate-keeper Spiffin Balley but if you allow Kel to post to you then you should do as you and her agree upon.
- You can also RP a full thread introduction if you so desire with Spiffin. The choice is up to you.
Species
- FEB is a Fort that will accompany many species. I'm am sticking to the books with certain aspects but with species I am broadening out. For example. I don't want to characterize a rat as being evil and so our Fort will be a hub of activity for all species. I'll be adding and looking for suggestions for new species. This is the purpose in having the 'other' field in the weaponry and species area.
- Since FEB is diverse in it's species we need to remember to be balanced with the size of our character. I am allowing for each character to be unique in their own way, much like humans are, but do not go overboard with their size.
- If there is a species that I do no agree with when you submit your Bio then I will PM you.
OOC Posts
- I'd prefer no OOC posts on the threads so please pm, use the FEB OOC discussion thread or use the Cbox to communicate. I dislike OOC posts on threads because some get carried away with them, making the thread look rather trashy.
Advertising, Affiliates and or Spamming
- No spamming.
- No advertising via pm, forums or Cbox, except in the designated area. I have my reasons for this and if you do get PMed by a member promoting another site in the inappropriate areas you can feel free to report them to me, along with the evidence. The perpetrator will be banned. Depending on the circumstances will the number of days be or it may be a ban that lasts forever.
Inappropriate Language
- No swearing or slang, even on the Cbox. But I do allow little words like damn and hell.
Post Quality
- Since this is not a beginner site all posts much be quality ones. I may put a character/word number on it later. Others can report you to me if such begins to be the case with a character.
- Please do spell check before posting your post.
- Please be sure and use proper grammar. I realize that we all are not perfect but please try.
Interaction
- Treat others courteously and respectfully.
- No autoing / God modding other characters unless predetermined with your RP partners.
Numeral Character Limit
- For now you may be allowed to play two characters but the previous ones must be well developed and the new ones must be very well fleshed out. In the future we may up the character limit but until FEB takes off again the number stands at two.
FEB Factions
- There are three 'known' factions available to FEB. Your character must be enrolled in at least one of them.
- Flotilla / Armada / Navy
- Foot Troops / Army
- Civilian / Fort Resident
- Calvary (The secret faction of FEB only known to those who are interested in joining.)
- The Calvary is a secret faction. A character can be involved with the Calvary and another faction at the same time since it is a 'secret society' of blood brothers and sisters.
Weaponry
- No gunpowder allowed!
- I am allowing as many weapons as you wish but please be reasonable.
- Within reason we can use any weapon that can be forged by a blacksmith.
Signature Banners
- Banners will be allowed in the signatures but they must be the size of the colored part of FEB banner or less.
Lingo
- NPC: Non Player Character
- PC: Personal Character
- Kit or Dibbun: A furry infant or toddler
- Vermin: An evil character
