PC Name: Kota Greysong
Gender: Male
Age: 25-30 in human years
Species: Wolf
Other Species: none
Appearance/Attire: Kota is a handsome wolf with a well defined head. His ears and muzzle are well shaped and his eyes bright with intelligence. Kota has jade green eyes, unusual for his kind but always seeming to be soothingly kind and patient. His fur is a sooty dark grey, speckled with lighter shades of silver/grey and black. Kota's fur is thick and soft to the touch making him quite cuddly for the little ones that end up in the infirmary and feel the need for a hug. The underpart of Kota's jaw, neck, chest and front paws are silvery white and he has large paws that can do amazingly delicate work despite their size. Like all wolves, Kota has a fluffy tail that often attracts the undivided attention of young wildcat dibbuns but he takes it all in good humor. Dressing casually in usually neutral-colored tunics, it is uncommon for Kota to carry a weapon of any sort apart from claws and fangs. When he has to carry a weapon, Kota opts for a walking staff or a dagger if he must but Kota is far from a sword-bearer. Though Kota has a powerful appearance, he doesn't act it. Upon first sight he may appear intimidating but he is simply a case of "don't judge a book by its cover."

Weapon(s): Staff, Dagger, Claws and Teeth
Other Weapon(s): poisons
Desired or Present Occupation: Present occupation: Head Infirmary Healer
Weaknesses and Fears: He has no skill with a bow and arrow and isn't a naturally violent soul, therefore isn't the best warrior. Kota has a bleeding heart for the wounded and if someone were to attack the infirmary if the wall was breached, Kota would most likely give himself up to die before letting anything happen to those in his care.
Strengths and Desires: Kota has a strong heart and stubborn nature but also a patient hand. More often then not his soothing voice can get him in and out of trouble and help him do his job while calming dibbuns or warriors that fear they're going to die. Kota knows he can't save everyone but it is his main desire to save all those he can and never just give someone up for dead.
Personality: Kota is a very nice wolf and fits into his role in life well. He has a deep, soothing voice that seems to help relax his patients. Kota has endless patience when it comes with dealing with dibbuns or grouchy warriors and tends to take their insults or unhappiness in stride, turning things into jokes to take their minds away from any pain they feel. He is often considered a softie by the warriors around him when he takes in "strays" from outside of the fort and tends their wounds and ails. Still, Kota does what he does because he thinks its right and he has a very strong sense of right and wrong. He won't stand for torture and has been known to shelter undesired wounded beasts, claiming that while they are in his infirmary, they are his to care for until their wounds are healed. While Kota doesn't intentionally obscure justice, it just works out that way but he deals with it as it comes.
Being a highly intelligent beast, Kota is known for his wit and humor but also for being a very good multi-tasker. He often gets dibbuns to help him with his herb gathering to give their mothers a break and uses it as a chance to teach them a bit about his craft. In Kota's mind, a beast shouldn't just know how to whirl a sword around but also be able to heal the wounds they inflict on themselves and others. Nothing Kota does is done without reason, sometimes more then one which usually makes others question his true motives even if his motives are truly harmless in every way.
Though Kota is a beast that opposes harm or inflicting it, if someone were to take hostages in the infirmary, Kota would trade his life for the lives of his patients. Some would think of him as a martyr and they would be more or less right. While Kota holds great value in life, when it comes to his life compared to others, it holds no real value. So long as he can die for someone else's sake, he can die happily. In many ways he is a warrior in his own right, fighting battles against death and sickness with herbs rather then swords or arrows.
History: Kota has no recollection of his parents and was raised by an order of wolven brothers in the mountains to the north. They were kindly healers but fierce warriors as well and at an early age Kota was taught in their ways. He often asked questions about his parents only to receive simple answers. His mother had been a fae that helped the elderly brothers gather herbs and his father had been one of the many beasts that lived around the abbey. Kota's father, Blackclaw, had worked as a blacksmith, often making gardening tools for the brothers or whatever else they needed. For many seasons, Kota was content with his life in the abbey, helping the brothers and spending long hours in rooms brewing healing brews and crushing herbs.
When Kota was just in the midst of adolescence, he decided he should travel as a healer to help surrounding villages. He left the abbey that had been his life and began to wander. He met many beasts and helped anyone that needed him including vermin which all seemed rather unwilling for his aide but he helped them anyway. Because of his voice, Kota became known as Kota Greysong because he would sing or talk to his patients even if they were unconcious so they would wake to his voice and not be afraid.
Kota's travels took him farther and father south until he was far from the abbey where he had grown up where the plants were different. An old badger going grey with age named Rootpaw helped Kota become accustomed to the different plants in the region and learn their uses and mixtures. With this knowledge, Kota went to a small village that was suffering a fever among the young ones. He spent three days and nights straight tending the dibbuns, actually having to force worried mothers from the place where he worked so he could properly tend them.
Mothers still say they could see him through the doorway, walking among the beds in the makeshift infirmary, feeding broth to the sick ones and soothing away their nightmares with his voice and touch. The mothers were convinced that when the fourth day dawned he would give up trying to save their little ones but instead he came from the infirmary carrying an otter dibbun whom had been the first to get sick and also the closest to death. He carried her to the otter's mother and allowed the mothers and fathers into the infirmary where they stayed until one of the dibbuns asked where the Voice had gone. The inhabitants of the village found that Kota had left without asking for thanks or provisions, simply heading off south along the path. None of them knew he was headed for Fort Emerald Bay in search of helping the wounded and ailing that fell to battle wounds.
