Appearance/Attire: Granuaile, while being small and lean, is a surprisingly strong lady. You would not guess her formidable strength with a first look, or even perhaps with a second. Granuaile is short for a mousemaid; healthy, but rather mediocre otherwise. Her smooth pelt is a nice grey with tan hairs sprinkled throughout. She normally wears a rather outlandish red traveling outfit, but sometimes she wears long dresses when she wants to feel pretty. Her dark brown eyes are carefully neutral and notoriously hard to read. Granuaile looks neither old nor young, but seems to strike the balance between the two. Her manner is youthful and only her eyes that she's old beyond her years. Her face is that of a typical girl mouse; broad and pretty with prominent features, particularly her wide, friendly mouth. Granuaile is a pretty mousemaid, but you get the feeling when looking at her that you are not seeing her true self.

Personality: Granuaile walks with a self-assured swagger. From this you can instantly see that Granuaile is an arrogant, prideful fae. She has an unshakable confidence in herself that, while annoying at times, is justified. Granuaile's a good fighter and she knows it. She's sort of let her prowess go to her head. Despite her pride, Granuaile is friendly and companionable to everyone who is the same to her. Nice people she treats nicely, evil people evilly. As a friend she trusts implicitly and is loyal to the death. However, get on her bad side and there's hell to pay. Granuaile has a quick temper, a trait she inherited from her father. But her anger normally dies quickly and she's back to her rascally old self. I say rascally for, while Granuaile is fun to be around, she's a thief. An unashamed, unabashed, out-and-out thief. She's quick to boast about herself and her adventures. But be not deceived by her arrogant boasting: Granuaile is no fool. She has a quick mind and knows more than you may think.
History: Granuaile was born to the chieftain of a Clan of mice who lived in a southern desert. She was the only daughter among seven sons. Her mother died giving birth and her father severely limited Granuaile's freedom because she was female. The prejudice angered Granuaile and she and her father fought often. She was loved by her brothers though and they doted on their little sister. From birth Granuaile was watched over by a big mute otter named Keltset. Keltset loved Granuaile dearly and she returned his love. They were inseperable. One day Granuaile and her father had the mother of all fights. The mousemaid returned to her quarters in tears and informed Keltset that she was leaving and never coming back. The big otter of course went with her. The two wander now together, as soldiers of fortune. But that soon will change, as Granuaile and Keltset look into joining the Foot Troops at Fort Emerald Bay.
