PC Name: Vexa Blueclaw
Gender: Female
Age: 27 moons
Species: Fox
Other Species: none
Appearance/Attire: Vexa is very sensible in her appearance. She has thick, soft blue-black fur flecked with white that makes her vanish in the shadows. On her face Vexa has a black mask over most of her muzzle and up around her eyes that defines her bright amber eyes. The fur on her limbs is also black as well as on her bushy tail. A white tip finishes off Vexa's fluffy tail. On her right front paw, Vexa has a scar slashed across the pad of the paw as well as another slash scar on her left shoulder blade. The scar on her shoulder is mainly hidden by both clothing and fur but the one on her paw is often glimpsed by others and sometimes questioned about. She has an elegant figure with a narrow muzzle and alert ears that are highly sensitive.
As far as her clothing, Vexa often wears light but darkly colored clothes typical of a warrior. More often then not she's seen wearing a blue-grey cloak a few shades darker then her fur, often with the hood pulled up. The cloak appears singed around the hem. At her hip she has a belt holding a sling, stone pouch and three throwing daggers. The daggers are on her right side with the sling and stones on her left. If she's on a mission, Vexa is seen with her bow and quiver over her back and is a deadly shot. In a pinch she can also use a javelin but doesn't carry one with her.

Weapon(s): Sling, Bow and Arrows, Javelin, Throwing Dagger(s), Claws and Teeth
Other Weapon(s): Long knives, longer then a normal dagger but too short to be a short sword, very light weapons
Desired or Present Occupation: Serves as the second command of the Twilight Trackers.
Weaknesses and Fears: Weaknesses: Heavy weapons, her scarred paw hurts before a storm weakening her ability to fight with it and her temper will sometimes cloud her judgment
Fears: Not being able to fight, failing
Strengths and Desires: Strengths: She has very keen eyes making her prime at long distance weapons, Vexa is a very good tracker and very stealthy along with highly enduring
Desires: To be able to die in battle with a weapon in her hand
Personality: Despite being deadly with bows and daggers, Vexa is a very approachable fox. She doesn't mind a joke and will easily defend the newcomers to the troop from the senior bullies that may try to pull their rope. Vexa has a sly wit and is very intelligent but can easily banter with the ones she leads. Recruited beasts to the troop find Vexa nice enough but don't get her wrong. Vexa can be deadly if she gets into a flying rage. Her tongue leaves the marks of a whip when she's mad enough and her enemies will easily find themselves staring down the shaft of an arrow that she would release without feeling sorry about it. Because of this Vexa is like a coin in many ways, easily flipped but having two very different sides.
Vexa has a bit of a perfectionist tendency when it comes to her own performance. She'll practice at the range for hours, splitting her own arrows or hitting the same spot time and time again but still not satisfied with her own endurance or accuracy. With others she'll be encouraging but with her own performance, it's nothing but room for improvement, no praise for herself. Sometimes it will take two or three others to convince her to leave the field.
When it comes time to go on a mission or fight, Vexa is once again totally different then any other time. She becomes tense but still, constantly watching and alert of her surroundings. Before a battle she can be sharp-tongued like an adder but any order or protest she makes is to ensure that as many lives as possible are spared. Vexa is highly loyal and knows that when an order is given it must be followed but sometimes if she sees it has to be done, she'll bend the order just a little.
History: Born in the far north, Vexa was forced to fight from an early age. Her dad taught her how to use a sling to help defend their home from vermin that seemed to simply overrun the area every time a slaver ship came into the cove. Vexa's keen eye made her a natural with a long bow and arrow and her mother spent hours teaching her how to properly throw a dagger. Because of this early in life training, Vexa was taught to be very disciplined and always be alert for danger because it was so common in their homeland. In early spring, her father and other foxes from their tribe sailed out to fight a slaver named Blackdeath that was sailing toward the cove. The sea battle lasted maybe two days but in the end, Vexa's father lost and their ship, The Water Walker, sank.
The vermin sailed into the cove and the female foxes were forced to fight. Despite their tries, they were forced back and loosing ground fast. Mothers raced with their kits away from the fight and Vexa was one of the kits that was left hidden in a cave so the vermin wouldn't find them and kill them or make them slaves. With Vexa was her best friend, Minx and together they kept the others quiet since they were the oldest in the cave at the time. They waited a full day but when none of the mothers came back for them, they ventured out of the cave. Vexa carefully made her way back to the village only to find ashes and saw the distant outline of the Blackdeath sailing away. Whether that meant their families were dead or slaves, none of them ever found out.
Vexa found her mother's bow in the remains of their home and saved it from the fire along with her father's cloak. With the other kits they made their way south with almost nothing to protect them. Along the way they came across an old otter, creaky-boned and bowed with age, they at first mistook him for a threat. The otter's name was Reemer Took, a former sea captain on a ship that had sunk long ago. He took the fox kits, Vexa and Minx to Torinvale, a small village that could take care of the kits. Reemer took Vexa under his paw as an apprentice, helping her perfect the techniques her parents had taught her.
It wasn't long before Vexa's warrior blood was stirred after a fight with a bandit when she was roughly eighteen moons old. She became restless, unable to sleep and ready to roam. She left Torinvale, leaving behind Minx and the remains of her old life and continued south. Barely a few weeks after leaving, Vexa offered to help a village constantly attacked by a bandit-lord named Brokenfang. She taught youngsters how to use slings, trained the keen-eyed how to shoot long bows and taught Blue Fartail how to use the throwing daggers. Blue became Vexa's friend as she helped the others prepare for battle because he, like her, was a blue fox.
When it came time for the battle to begin, Vexa fought like she never had before but came upon Blue, dead with one of the vermin lord's daggers through his stomach. Enraged, Vexa hunted the lord like a dog hunts a downed bird. She found him and shot him with the last arrow from her quiver but her aim went array and she barely missed a killing shot. The rat, Brokenfang, fought with her and in close range battle, Vexa did poorly. She was cut across her paw and forced to fight with one paw. A soldier seeking to help Brokenfang shot Vexa in her shoulder. Vexa managed to stab Brokenfang before passing out and woke up in the infirmary. She was told they had won and that the arrow in her shoulder had been removed but that Blue was dead.
Rather then stay, Vexa continued south until she came to Fort Emerald and enlisted as a tracker, working her way steadily through the ranks trying to heal a broken heart and do what she did best, fight from afar.
Animal Companion(s) ~ Name(s) and Species: Chai- raven
Image/Bio Companion(s) Link(s): Chai is a raven that had been used by bandits to steal food and coins. When Vexa was traveling south, Chai tried to steal from her but the fox didn't let him so he went back without anything for his masters. As punishment, Chai's wings were slashed and was left for dead until Vexa found him again and nursed him back to health. Now he helps Vexa as a scout and watches her back in battles.
