Name: Darrow Lark
Gender: Female
Age either by seasons or human years: 21
Species: Wolf
Other Species:
Eye Color: Left eye-Steel blue, Right eye-milky
Fur Color: Darrow’s fur color leans closer to gold than brown. Her paws and muzzle are a bit darker than the rest of her fur. Her coat is short and thin, making her appear smaller than she actually is.
Attire, Jewelry: She favors tighter tunics and loose, flowing trews for her legs. Her tunics are often sleeveless to leave more flexibility for her terribly scarred arms. Darrow favors violet, but it’s quite expensive since it requires crushing hundreds of tiny snails to make the color. Instead, she often wears dark blues or greens. She hates the bright colors. Her trews are typically black or brown.
Darrow wears an arrowhead tied with rough twine around her throat. It was the one weapon that helped her get away from her captors, and she keeps it close, just in case. Darrow really dislikes any other form of jewelry since she thinks that it hinders her movement.
Physical Build: Physically, she’s quite a strong she-wolf, even for her short stature. Darrow is about a head and a half shorter than her eldest brother Bowen, but size doesn’t always matter. Scars crisscross her arms, her back, chest, legs, and even her face. Her body is thin and small, but nicely toned. She’s still trying to regain her health.
Facial Attributes, if any: Darrow’s cheek bones are very prominent. They give her very sharp features, and she often looks angry even when her face is relaxed. With a little more weight on her muzzle, she would look quite beautiful.
Noteable Handicaps, Scars or Tattoos: Again, she has scars crisscrossing her body. Four claw marks cover her blind right eye. She often keeps that eye closed since she can’t see out of it anyway. She’s still relearning depth perception.

Weaponry: Bow and Arrows, Scimitar
Other Weaponry: Fists
Desired or Present Occupation: Scout or blacksmith in training.
Weaknesses and Fears: Darrow is terribly afraid of the dark. She always has to have a lamp lit and she hesitates to scout in the darkness. Along with that, she’s highly claustrophobic. She hates her mother, more than she fears her but that hate can be incapacitating at times. She’s very quick to anger and she acts before she thinks, which often leads to trouble. She’s a horrible cook. She has trouble fighting with her bow now that she’s partially blind.
Strengths and Desires: She’s a very strong fighter and she can more endure pain than most beasts. Darrow’s a very, very fast learner, especially when it comes to weapons. She desires to be a blacksmith, but deep down, she also loves to write and sing but she sees them as weaknesses.
Personality: Darrow is a very resentful she-wolf. She did not have a good childhood, and that has prompted her to throw blame at anyone available for lecture. Darrow absolutely hates her mother because of what she did to her children. In fact, Darrow is often suspicious of motherly figures. She sees them as meddling and unimportant. The maid hates being coddled, and she especially hates it when other creatures mention her handicap. She knows she’s blind. She doesn’t need anyone else to point it out!
At times, Darrow does lighten up and enjoy herself. She’s at ease when she’s either alone making blades, or she’s alone in nature (in daylight of course). Once you gain her trust, she’s rather pleasant to talk to, though she won’t share a lot of information about her life.
When Darrow is in the darkness or in an enclosed area, her mood completely switches. She turns into a whimpering pup and at times she will rock back and forth or tremble in fear. She can handle being outside at night if there is starlight and moonlight, but if it’s pitch black, she will refuse to go outdoors.
History: Darrow is considered the baby of her siblings. While she is a twin to her brother Bensen, she came minutes after he did, not that their mother cared. Her eldest brother is Bowen. She was born to a rather heartless she-wolf. Though her father was affectionate when he was around, he spent most of his time fighting far away from home. In fact, Darrow can only recall seeking him a pawful of times. She never got along with her mother. While Bensen and Bowen would submit to the hated she-wolf, Darrow was the one that tried to defend her brothers. At times, she would get the worse of the beating. When she really misbehaved, her mother would lock her in a closet, which started Darrow’s fear of the dark.
When Darrow was ten, she and her brothers were sold by their mother to the thrall markets. Bensen and Darrow were sold together to a young Duke who needed the pair as servants. Bensen adjusted to the life easily, but Darrow did not. She hated serving anyone, especially when she was treated harshly. The Duke, angry that Darrow wouldn’t do as he asked beat her many times before selling her to another market. She landed in the paws of a vicious plantation owner and she did not have much luck under his cruel administrations. Darrow escaped with the help of an arrowhead and was taken in by a kindly blacksmith. He taught her how to make blades and he became a favored mentor. Her rescuer taught her the basics of reading and writing since their mother had neglected to do so. Darrow is still rough when it comes to writing, but she’s reading better now.
When she was sixteen, the blacksmith was attacked and killed by a band of vermin. Darrow saw the death happen and she was taken captive. They treated her like a common slave and tried to find ways to break her. Darrow stood up against them readily, until one vermin wrapped a bandana around her eyes. When the darkness set in, Darrow flew into a panic and crumbled at their footpaws. After that, whenever she acted up, they would throw her in a dark cave, a dark room, or they would just cover her eyes to subdue her.
At age eighteen, a group of good beasts came in and tore apart the camp. Darrow fought to get free, and in the process, she got locked in a battle with a much taller fox. The canine was cruel and managed to scratch her across the eye. His claw nearly tore through the cornea and though he didn’t make it all the way through, it was enough to make Darrow partially blind.
For the last three years, Darrow has been lurking from one trainer to another. Kindly beasts have taught her how to better gauge shooting a bow and fighting with a scimitar with only one eye available. During her time out of slavery, she spent about a year looking for her brothers, but she assumed that if they were still alive or if they really cared, they would have found her by now. Darrow is now going to Emerald Bay in hopes of finding another mentor to help her fight and make blades.
